Fantastic experience: Took the kids to this GameStop location at Arlington tonight to pick up a couple Switch games. We just got him a Switch 2 and I wanted to take him for the physical cartridge experience. We had fun just looking around. GameStop always takes me back. I talked a bit with the employee Abbot which was nice. Then he went and gave my youngest son some Pokemon cards, which was really above and beyond. That made his night, a total surprise. Aside from that, the store itself was clean, had a lot of merchandise to pick from, Abbot was friendly and helpful. It was a good night and hopefully I won’t wait so long between GameStop visits in the future.
Fantastic experience: Didn’t catch his name, but the guy working on 04/21/2026 around 8:30pm was very polite and helpful finding what I needed.
Negative experience: Sent my girlfriend to buy a product. They didnt have it and sold her a different product that i didnt want. When she realized she tried to return it because she hadnt left the store yet. They said no and treated her like shit. If you want to be treated as a valued customer than i would suggest going across the street to target for ur video game needs.
Positive experience: Staff is friendly and helpful, store is clean and mostly organized.
Negative experience: I went to GameStop today and I was just looking at some of the trading cards and I noticed that the person working was I guess consider the manager I think it was cat But he was being extremely rude to some young woman in there saying that she couldn’t take her game system and that bugs were crawling out of it, but it just seemed like she was just being rude And very confrontational so it made me wanna go elsewhere I didn’t even trade in anything I had. I didn’t buy anything. I’ll never go back there again.
Negative experience: So I bought a brand new series S from them almost 500 dollars. I was told when I bought the protection plan that if I wasn't satisfied with the product to bring it back and they would issue a full refund. When I went to return the system they refused to refund me because I took it out of the package. Well how on earth am I supposed to know if I like the product without trying it out? They are no more than common theifs!
Negative experience: Not sure what changed with the policy but I brought in a controller that I purchased for an exchange which I have done for several years. I always buy a 2 year warranty and when I come in I give them my old controller and I get a new one with a new warranty. This time the lady gave me a controller inside of a bag and stated I couldn't get a new controller this time as they only give refurbished. I states its never been thar way before and she explained that its the process now. Buying a 2 year warranty on a new controller to only receive a refurbished one makes zero sense and I will go elsewhere next time.
Fantastic experience: Great location. Max and staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and everything that is right in a company that is drowning itself in awful decisions and employees. This is one of the only GameStop stores I will still frequent
Fantastic experience: I happened to park in front of the store around lunchtime and decided to stop in. A young Indian lady was incredibly kind and took the time to answer all my questions about the Xbox 360 and PS5. Although they didn’t have the item I was looking for in stock, she was very helpful and even suggested a few nearby places where I might find it. I didn’t make a purchase, but I really appreciated her friendliness and assistance.
Negative experience: So I purchased a Ps5 a couple months back and also purchased the 1yr warranty so yesterday I had an issue with the console so I sent my wife in to exchange it, when we got back home and began the unboxing and to my suprise it was dirty and the tip of the panels were flat as if some one dropped it so something told me to pop the top panel off to look and see if the fan is dusty and that’s when I seen the plastic stand that holds the close stuck in the fan blades. I’m thinking the employees don’t clean and inspect the consoles throughly before handing them out. This could’ve catastrophic. Highly disappointed

Negative experience: I bought a PS4 from GameStop got it home and when I opened it something was rattling around inside the system when you turned it over I powered it on and it ran soo slow. I took it back and returned it but still haven't got my money returned on my card yet it has been 4 days. I bought an expensive controller for PS4 brand new got home it wouldn't even power on i called 3 different GameStop's multiple times and no one would answer the phone. How are you still in business GameStop? People, go online to buy your games and stop going to GameStop.

Negative experience: Sold me a used PS5 controller last week when I got home as soon as I started using it realized this controller had stick dripped in the right stick didn't feel like taking it back but will never go to this location again and recommend everyone check your devices as soon as you get home if you're buying from this place

Fantastic experience: I called ahead and the staff was super friendly and help me make sure they had the game I wanted. When I got there the staff had it ready and it was extremely low prices. The game I was getting was 50 dollars on the Xbox game store but only 18.99 at the GameStop. The store was clean, all the games were clean, and the staff were super nice. I will definitely be coming back.

Negative experience: Went into the store to purchase a game and they were out. Was told to order it online and would get it 1-3 days. It's been 7 and no package. The foreign call center is absolutely worthless, they have no clue on how to remedy the problem.

Positive experience: This thing keeps erasing I didn't say GameStop I said Arlington train stop and from there I went to a place called Boston warm where many homeless go to get meals I'm not homeless but I do have friends there and they asked me to sing as well I love being there today and seeing my friends and that place is on Newbury Street next to this train stop

Negative experience: Very Unprofessional!! The evening manager there did NOT seem to know the prices in his own store! I called earlier to verify a certain keyboard was on sale and it was. Shift change occurred (unfortunately) and I went in for the keyboard and came up to the register and I told the guy (manager) a gaming keyboard was on sale for $29.99 and he didn't even know it!! When I asked him to call another store to verify it he wouldn't do it claiming he had other customers in the store he had to take care of when I WAS HIS CUSTOMER at that time and there was maybe 2 other people in the store and there was another person handling the register. I had to give out data to connect to their free wifi so I could show him the price (which took MORE than just a few minutes) and while I did that the store became empty and he still would NOT call the other store to verify the price I told him and the other store told me they had it where I was at at the specified price before I even came there. In the end, I believe it took me about 20 minutes or more and tremendous frustration before he sold me the keyboard for $32.01 and instead of just giving me a dollar back he gave me 99 cents in change. Also, when I got home there was NO receipt in the bag!! This was all extremely UNPROFESSIONAL!!

Fantastic experience: This is honestly my favorite GameStop location. I come here quite a bit and most of the people who work here recognize my fiance and I. They are always excited to talk to us about news on the things we are interested in. They make a real effort to make a connection and make you feel like you're visiting a friend when you're stopping in. Always are happy to help us with any questions about products or most gameplay! Even when it gets busy and wait times get a little longer, they are very kind and make sure to let you know what's going on and that they will help you asap!

Positive experience: I'd love to support GameStop and be one to help keep physical copy game sales alive, but there are times I come out of some GameStops not wanting to go back. Two of the best GameStops to go to are off the I76 Kent exit and the one in Salem. The employees at the location in Green and Arlington ridge are typically rude, try to deny returns of figures even if they haven't been opened and you have your receipt showing it's been less than 30 days, or they just come across as disinterested in speaking to you. So I guess it's all about the employee interaction you get. If they wanted to make buying and selling used games more of a part of their business again, they're going to need to start lowering the price of their used games as you can find better prices digitally. Trade in values also need improvement. Making some money is better than making no money but I guess the company hasn't caught on to that yet.

Negative experience: I called this store and was put on hold for a little over five minutes which is fine. When the person came back I started to say that I had a xbox one to trade that didn't turn on and asked if they take them in for trade. The employee said no and hung up on me. I found out later that I could have turned it in and would have been given trade credit. I have tried to contact gamestop through Corp, Facebook, Twitter, and now here, with no solution.
