Fantastic experience: Great place to get all your games for your PS5 I love this store

Negative experience: Poor management. They leave workers there that aren't allowed to sell stuff. Imagine going into a video game store and they won't sell you video game accessories lol usless

Negative experience: If you’re going to trade-in your console I wouldn’t go to them. I’d rather go to the one in the [Upper] Pearlridge mall. Yesterday (02/23/25,) I went to the Kalihi location in attempt to trade-in my PS3. While testing its visuals w/ their setup of a monitor on the counter connected to an external hub of HDMI ports, the monitor flickered. They said, “The HDMI port was so loose” supported w/ “I can move it w/ a slight move of my finger” and they tried different HDMI cords. I knew this was such bullshit. I didn’t wanna be a dick while he was helping me but I was thinking, “Why not just plug it directly into the monitor?” This flickering never happened when I brought the console home while it was on the plane (both flights) and as shown in the photo, when I plugged it into my bedroom TV playing NCAA Football 14. Even being very careful when cushioning the console between 2 towels and making the conscious decision to not check my bag in, again this flickering never happened. So that sucked so it would’ve been 1-star. Me being nice I upped it to 2-stars since they took the only game I came with & traded-in along w/ 1 controller and its USB charge plug. So they gave me $14 store credit which I gave to my nephew. If anyone asks, not naming where but I came from the neighbor island where there’s no GameStop conveniently located closest to me. Rewind to hours ago, I attempted again at the Pearlridge location. It was so much better like how it should’ve been the first time. The visual test didn’t flicker on their mounted monitor setup where the guy helping me plugged the cord directly into the monitor. Although there was a little bit of a scare where he said it can’t be traded in due to the console being corrupted. I held out a little more and kept my eye on the monitor. Sure enough, the console self-rebooted and was back to normal. After running some tests, the trade-in was successful. They took my console along w/ the needed cords and my only controller. They gave me the $35 store credit I should’ve gotten. Again, I’ll give to my nephew. I thanked them & left.

Negative experience: I need to stop shopping at this GameStop. I can get a more personable shopping experience online with Amazon. At least Amazon thanks you after you check out. All this store does is says ‘“ here you go.” Tiffany(name on the receipt) greeted me when I entered, so there is some attempt at customer service. Maybe two stars is too harsh or has customer service just not a thing anymore?

Negative experience: Don't sell your games there. They lowball you with their ridiculous pricing. Sold a game valued at $120 used (their pricing). I was given $2.85? Sell it on Marketplace, OfferUp, Ebay or elsewhere but not there. I guess that's why their name is GameStop. Exactly stop do not enter. Aloha

Fantastic experience: GameStop employees are always really helpful and kind. I think their pro subscription is awesome. Glad to drop in to look around whenever there's a GameStop nearby.

Positive experience: Always awesome to be able to walk into a store and physically shop for what you want. Don't like the Forrest Gump (online) style of shopping, cause you never know what you're gonna get.

Negative experience: Reason why I gave this an extra star instead of 1 is because they had the game counsle we were looking for. The cashier was outright rude and seemed irratable before we even requested what we wanted. Disappointed by the customer service given to not only us but to the customers before us. Almost as if she was annoyed by us asking her a question. This was around 5pm on Feb 23. Definitely did not have a good experience.
